On the Branch

It starts when you're a little kid. You get these nagging hallucination things they refer to as "dreams". Adult figures encourage you to pursue them and sometimes they even offer their assistance in helping you attain these "dreams". Then all of a sudden 20 years or so pass and they take back everything they had previously stated. On top of that they tell you to throw those "dreams" in the trash knowing damn well that its something you can't get rid of. It's one of the most baffling things about growing up. Fortunately, some folks unrelentingly refuse to listen and continue pursuing these foolish "dream" things. The rest of society sits back and vicariously lives out their dreams through these individuals. I don't know which category 3 Toad Productions falls into, but dreamers or ex-dreamers they have been dedicating all their free time to those little kid pursuits that once made us all happy. And that in itself is amazing. I say with dreams you either use em' or you lose em'. These guys haven't lost theirs yet.

Though as individuals the 3-man collective have been working film production for years The Branch Will Not Break will be their first collaborative short film. The no-budget indie picture features first time lead Mike Pooley and by the looks of the dailies I think the public will be quite impressed by the rookie's debut. While humble, the project is a bittersweet as one of the 3 Toad members recently had a child, and another is moving back to the east coast. TW's Luke Aguinaldo helped produce this project and genuinely feels that he has been a part of something special. Here is a little Q&A behind the scenes of their final day of shooting.
