Inspired by the strange intimacy of NYC and the innocence of youth, we wandered the streets of Brooklyn and lower Manhattan—where in the early ‘70s post-punk groups like the New York Dolls and clubs like CBGB were born. Perhaps romanticized by time, this era is spun into gritty glamour where people clung to friendship, rights and freedom. Rock and Roll was at the heart of everything. Love or hate it, it was everywhere.
